why there’s a rabbit on the moon – part 18

looking up

Crouching under some trees, Chang’e gazed up through the branches at the moon which had become full that very day. She had been feeling strangely drawn to it for many weeks now. Footsteps were approaching.

  1. This is a gorgeous image. I love the way some of the leaves seem to hang from nothing, as the thin branches are invisible in the moonlight against the sky. Extremely evocative.

    • Thank you! sometimes it is best to let the eye fill in the blanks rather than rendering everything completely… interestingly, the effect can seem more “real” I must say I’m rather pleased with how this turned out.
