new character studies – D’s brother…

sensitive and thoughtful...

…and interestingly, also good with a knife!

but usually playful and friendly...

OK, here are two versions… different styles as well…

UPDATE: Here’s Tom’s poem which nicely ties together the facets of D’s brother’s personality!

My little sister’s such a pain
An expert in annoyance
She sees what irritates and roils
With something like clairvoyance

She tries on souls like suits of clothes
One fancy, now one drear
Each attuned to scandalize
Her family fond and dear

Not calm and wry and whimsical
Like her older brother
Who gets her out of every scrape
And now she’s in another!

Yet then she’ll say some silly thing
Naive with insight, daft
That melts my disapproval
To breathe then is to laugh!

Tried to get both sides of him! I think he’d like to see himself as just a little detached and distanced and superior, but can’t help at times letting himself go.

Ohh, and belated Happy 200th Post! Been rushing about like mad here… looked like I might have been going to NYC at the last minute, as the other senior programming mentor was in hospital with a kidney infection! Fortunately a combination of rest and IV antibiotics put him on the mend.

    • I was about to say “I told you so” but then saw the past tense… so no New York after all…
That’s how I see him too – he’s closer to adult than she is and wants to play that role but he’s really not there yet so can be silly at times too!
