seals are cute!

how cute is that?!

Yes, they are cute… and there will be seals in New Albion! We’re now officially one week from launch!! How exciting! 😀
One of the cutest things I’ve seen recently is an island in Japan full of kittehs! Enjoy 🙂

UPDATE:
New poem from Tom! So that’s why she’s smiling!!

What does the seal see with those limpid eyes
beneath the surface of the wine-dark sea
below the turbulence of truth and lies
where minds and hearts and bodies might be free?
She rises to the light to take a breath
before she plunges deep into the cold
where abyssal creatures face their death
and life with equal silence: stoic, bold.
Her enigmatic smile is all we’ll know
of secrets hidden by the ocean’s veil
while on the surface back and forth we go
oblivious to Eurynome’s tale.
Within the ocean’s darkness secrets keep
Until the seals will deign to humans speak.

Eurynome is an Oceanid, one of the nymphs of Greek mythology. She is purported to have ruled Olympus in the time (as it were) before Chronos. It seemed like a good name for this seal!
