Cindy Loo You!

I am delighted that my friend, Tom Radcliffe and I have set up – well mostly Tom – a website for our experimental work, Cindy Loo You, (formerly “What if”) which evolved on this blog in a very jazz-like way. We have done some tweaking and formatting and there is new material… It will be even more fun and easy to read with the images and poems together on each page. The posting schedule is twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays so check it out regularly!

We are also working on a Brand New Project! More information to come…

what if – part 23 – grand finale!

Cindy's Bar & Grill, and Snorkeling Emporium!

Well, here we are… Some Time later… It looks like Cindy has set herself up nicely and peaceful relations are well established. And look – here comes Coracle for a visit!

This is the last one in the series and it took a while to put together – I hope you enjoy! It is a larger picture than usual so be sure to click on it to see all the details! I will be going back to something simpler for a while on the blog after this… and there is a new upcoming project which I start doing doodles and sketches for soon.

There may be a slight delay in receiving the final part of our story since our poet is a bit busy this week but check back starting Thursday – I’m sure it will tie all the loose threads together in a most hilarious and satisfying way!

UPDATE: You’ll find the final poem in the comments – and I’m sure you’ll love it!

what if – part 22…

Cindy's small heart grew three sizes that day...

I’m hoping that the Gizmorn will feel that attacking is now much too much trouble since the chance of others getting involved is rapidly becoming assured! and Big is showing some character too – not just a lap dog anymore!

I think that we’re getting very close to the exciting conclusion of our “what if” tale. Be sure to check back to read the poem when it arrives in the comments!

UPDATE: Yes! It’s here!! Read the comments for the story 🙂

what if – part 21…

all we are saying...

Arriving at the island, Cindy and the Stranger find the Grinch in the midst of negotiations – somewhere along the way he’s turned into an aging hippy! and he’s attempting Gandhi style passive resistance – at least that’s how I think it might be but I’m not writing the story! Let’s see what Tom comes up with when he sends the next part. I have a feeling this might just be coming to some kind of satisfactory conclusion soon!

UPDATE: And yes, the next poem is here in the comments! Check it out 😀

what if – part 20…

"skating" to the island

They are arriving to the island in style! Despite the now infamous kiss from King Frobag, Cindy is getting more snuggly with the stranger… and check out where Big is riding!

A recent comic from Johny Wander will be appreciated by cat lovers everywhere!

As usual the poetic continuation of the story should arrive in the comments soon!

UPDATE: Check the first comment to read the next part of the story!!

what if – part 19…

escaping the swamp

Look at that morse go! Well, he needs to go even faster to escape the swamp-thing which seems to be sucking any kind of firm ground into itself!! and what are they escaping to? Is it a mountain? a wall of water?? If you look closely, you can tell that Cindy is looking back – no doubt thinking about her King Frobag… (Don’t forget to click on the picture to get a better view)

We should hear from Tom soon to find out what’s really going on! Check the comments for the next update soon!

UPDATE: Yes – the poem is already here… if you want to find out what’s going on, you’ll have to check in the comments… hint – it’s the long one!!

what if – part 18…

hmmm...

Well, King Frobag looks pretty pleased with himself… but I’m not sure about Cindy. I think she may be having mixed feelings. Of course the ring is very pretty (well big anyway) but… what does it mean?? Has she accidentally gotten herself engaged???

Hopefully Tom can sort out the story soon when he sends the next poem into the comments – stay tuned!

UPDATE:  We now have the new poem in the comments – whatever will happen next??

what if – part 17…

tribute for the king

I knew that there was a reason all along that the stranger has such a funny hat – its bobbles are valuable in certain places – such as here allowing safe passage (I hope) through this bog-some fen… and yes! they (the Frobags) have clubs and a spear (very fearsome) lol – well they think so. Their lily-pad skirts are part of their bodies and help with wading in the murky water… curious creatures!

Hope you like this one! As with the other horizontal format images, you can see it at a larger scale if you click on it. (Actually you can click on all of them – it just makes more difference with the horizontal ones.)

Looking forward to seeing the next part of the story – which should arrive in the comments soon!

UPDATE: Please check the comments for the new poem! – highly entertaining and with bonus background info from the poet.

what if – part 16…

distorted reality

Time got away from me this week – busy with lots of things so just managing to post the second image from Cindy’s trip on “morse-back” now. I like the way MacDuff and the stranger are at one with the new reality while Cindy’s struggles seem to result in her being (at least partially) sucked into the vortex… This one was fun to draw!

Don’t forget to check the comments in a day or so for Tom’s new poem!

I haven’t posted a link from Cute Overload for a while – check out these two kitties – hilarious!

what if – part 15…

...and they're off!

I think Cindy may be a bit surprised to find out what she’s signed up for! Then again, anyone with such superior stacking skills will surely discover other as yet unknown talents along the road!! I have a theory that all the round boxes have spare wigs in them – she does like to change hair styles quickly and often! lol

Hopefully Tom will post the next part of the story to go with the image tomorrow! 😀

UPDATE: Tom has indeed obliged with a most entertaining description of the state of things! Please see comments!
