Tulip Time was painted back in April when the tulips were fresh and delightful. Each season brings its own charm. I painted this one plein air out on the deck but simplified the background.
I decided to do a flatlay to show this painting off in a different way for my new website. By-the-way, that is up and running now! Same web address (www.hilaryfarmer.com) will take you to my newly hosted and fresh looking website. Hope you check it out!

woww!! this is soo cute..
Thank you!
I am not ordinarily a fan of still lifes: too much fruit/too many flowers. But this is so nice.
Thank you! Myself, I find endless variety in flowers but I know they’re not for everyone. 🙂
My obsession with Abstraction is by choice, but I am always willing to be lured away by any/all beauty… and you have a talent for beautiful-ness.
Thank you so much! Making more beauty in the world is a goal of mine. I haven’t been painting as much abstract lately but I am pretty sure I will again …and in the meantime, hopefully lots of other beauty.
You seen to be cross pollinating your abstractions with symmetry, and your landscapes with Impressionistic abstraction. You are like some kind of great little art bee…

😄 Love it – thank you!
